Review of GM Study Tour to Canada

A four week Study Tour program was devised by Bill Crabtree from 22nd July until 16th August 2006. Then advertisements were placed in rural newspapers and newsletters as well as emails were sent to past tour participants of Crabtree Agricultural Study Tours inviting participants to attend.
Reflections of China Tour
For 16 days a group of 49 “big nosed” Australians inspected life in China. I was surprised by their friendly and apparently open attitude. We arrived at the beginning of their big week-long holiday (1-7th October) and we soaked up the festive atmosphere in Tiananmen Square, gardens, lakes and temples.
North America Study Tour 2004
A unique group of 44 embarked on a spectacular 8,000 km journey of North America. We had the usual amazing array of modified genetic organisms (people) on tour. Isn’t nature wonderful? We are learnt of the adventuresome Beeck’s, the skilled yarns of Daniel Morgan, the keen mind of Bec Ifould, the politeness of John Doncon, the great people skills of Zoe Fulwood and the willingness of David Cook to pre-empt problems. Not to mention the great energy of Jim – our bus driver!
